Coming from the southern part of England where snow of only 2cms regularly disrupts transport; it was instructive and fascinating to experience snow in Finland. The Fins are geared up to cope with snow. They have the necessary equipment and know-how to move the snow. Skips and fleets of lorries are use. Snow is piled high in the street and stored between parked cars.
