Magisalp is situated at a stopping point on the cable car system from Meiringen to Alpen Tower. We visited on a crystal clear, blue skied sunny day which transformed this ski area into a winter wonderland. The main cable car brings 80 skiers up from the valley bottom – so there were plenty of skiers mostly either Swiss or from the UK. It is an over worked phrase “... that everywhere you look is a picture...” but it was true. There were fantastic views down into the cloud obscured valley which resulted in shots of the cardinal peaks of the Jungfrau range appearing to float in a bed of cloud.
Magisalp is at the tree line and the starting point for trails to the scattered hamlets of the Hasliberg region as well as down to Reuti.
